“Save our Birds” is a new additional chapter of Duck LOvers Adoptions. We have been saving birds, both wild and pet. We saved 54 trees.
The Save Our Birds organization was founded 2 years ago in San Diego by Denise, when a realization occurred that the bird population was decreasing due to overwhelming amounts of environmental hazards including toxic spraying, lack of habitat due to over development (urbanization) and loss of natural food.l. This group attenpts to stop pesticide usage, protect wetlands and nesting habitat, tree and shrub, (building work in eves) trimming or removed especially during baby bird season when ALL SPECIES of wild birds are protected by the Migrational Treaty Laws depicted by California State Fish and Wildlife Service.
If you see a nest being disturbed please contact your local agent at the Poacher Hotline 1-888-DFG-CAL-TIPP. Thanks for caring about all bird species.
A team of 4 environmentalists including myself saved 54 Moreton Bay Figs (Ficus) in downtown Encinitas ( San Diego) slated to be cut down.. They were over 60 years old and just beautiful. They are permanently protected as Heritage Trees. “
